The Allen Institute is dedicated to answering some of the biggest questions in bioscience and accelerating research worldwide.
This year, Allen Institute is celebrating 15 years since its launch. They have four divisions -- the Allen Institute for Brain Science, the Allen Institute for Cell Science, the Allen Institute for Immunology, and The Paul G. Allen Frontiers Group – with more than 470 employees from 40 different scientific disciplines.
Summer Internship - The Allen Institute’s internship program is an intensive summer experience designed to provide mentorship and research experience for undergraduate students who are interested in bioscience.
The program will have two start dates: June 3, and June 17, 2019 and will run 10-12 weeks. Interns are expected to work 35-40 hours a week.
The 2019 summer internship application process for the Allen Institute for Brain Science is now closed. Internships for our other institutes and administrative departments are posted on a rolling basis.
Eligibility
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Enrolled in undergraduate studies or in a Master’s program. You must be enrolled and returning to school Fall quarter.
- Must be able to start on June 3rd or June 17th, 2019 and commit to the full 10-12 week internship time period. Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours a week.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
