Mission: GWI’s mission depends on identifying promising young women and exposing them early to finance and investment concepts and industry professionals.

Focus: In 2016 focus is on programs and curriculum for rising sophomores and juniors in college.

2016 PILOT PROGRAM

Over a 4-week intensive period, promising young women will learn core finance and investment concepts and skills from some of the most respected business school professors in the country. This core curriculum will expose our students to all asset classes including public and private equity, fixed income, credit, hedge funds, real estate, and infrastructure, and will equip them with the skills required to excel in a career in asset management. The program will be enhanced by speakers from across the asset management industry, particularly senior women, and our students will have the opportunity to start building meaningful relationships with some of the most influential leaders in the industry. We will also offer training in ethics from the CFA Institute, presentation skills, interview preparation, “field trips,” regional meetings and membership in the GWI community.

Successful students who complete the program will be able to add the GWI credential to their resumes and the organization’s asset management partners will recruit students for internships.

In early 2016, GWI will seek applications from rising sophomores and juniors and select a cohort of 30 women from the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences, Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, Swarthmore College and a few other Philadelphia area universities. The program will be held in Philadelphia on Penn’s campus (in residence). Please check our website for the complete list of colleges that will be participating in our inaugural summer program and for more details regarding the 2016 program.

If that sounds good to you, and if you’ve graduated with a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D in the last year, check out our open positions and apply today. We’re hiring recent grads as engineers and product managers.

Interns
